Florida Hospital Orlando seeks to hire a Nurse Manager who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,107-bed Florida Hospital Orlando, serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. Florida Hospital Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year.
The 4th floor of the Ginsburg Tower is truly a unique unit. It is a Beacon Award Winning, 40 bed, post-surgical unit that specializes in the care of vascular surgeries and abdominal transplants patients (kidney, pancreas and livers).
20 beds, known as the Vascular Care Unit (VCU), are designated PCU. The patient population here is predominately post-surgical extremity re-vascularization, amputations, and wound care.
The remaining 20 beds are the Vascular Transplant ICU (VTICU). This area serves critically ill patients that have either had a vascular surgery or a kidney, liver or pancreas transplant. The VTICU uses an intensivist-model which facilitates timely, high quality supportive care of the critically ill.
Our nurses and physicians collaborate to provide excellent patient care and ensure optimal patient outcomes. We strongly believe in team work, professionalism, and extending the healing ministry of Christ. Our active and strong Nurse Practice Council work to engage the staff, and have an excellent working relationship with the Vascular & Transplant Surgeons.
