Geisinger Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Nephrology team of 10 physicians and 4 Nephrology fellows to deliver inpatient care on our Danville Campus.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our providers to deliver inpatient nephrology care in a team-based environment.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Assist with new consults and inpatient follow-ups for patients with a variety of kidney disorders
- Evaluate dialysis patients and write inpatient dialysis orders
- Interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe appropriate treatments
- Provide patient education and counseling
- Coordinate care from the inpatient to outpatient settings
- Perform inpatient charting and documentation
Anticipated schedule is Monday-Friday 8am to 5 pm with limited call, however job description is flexible with the opportunity to create a tailored work environment.

Prior nephrology training is not required.
