Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist 2 – Interventional Lab – Orlando
Orlando seeks to hire Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist 2 who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,107-bed Florida Hospital Orlando, serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. Florida Hospital Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year.
Imaging is integrally involved across the spectrum of patient care, assisting medical staff in the diagnosis and treatment of patients ranging from routine imaging studies to advanced interventional procedures. Annually, imaging performs 375,000 procedures across emergency, inpatient, surgical, and outpatient settings. The department operates within the hospital and Health Village at 8 locations and utilizes over 50 imaging rooms. The imaging team includes more than 300 skilled and engaged staff including radiologists, technologists, nurses, and support staff, working to ensure the right patient receives the correct, quality study, at the right time. This capital-intensive department generates over $460 million in gross charges per year, including high yield outpatient revenue. Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience preferred
Shift Rotation 7 Days/Week, Hours 7AM-5.30PM and 8AM-6.30PM.
Night hours for on call only – On Call 1-2 Times/week
Working weekends Every Other to Every Third weekend in 6 week period
Under general supervision, the Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist 2 performs sterile radiographic (IR) procedures and administers contrast agents at a technical level. Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds (in hospital) within 30 minutes. Provides safe care and processing of patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all..
