The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Florida is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor. This is 1.0 FTE non-tenure/tenure accruing position. Individuals with strong clinical skills and interest in a development of a clinical program, as well as involvement in an active, accredited fellowship training program with strong emphasis on education are highly desired.
Applicants must have a M.D. degree or equivalent and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida. Applicants must also be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics or the appropriate subspecialty, or be currently enrolled in a fellowship program in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology currently consists of six pediatric gastroenterologists, in addition to an advanced nurse practitioner, physician assistant, four nurses and a dietician. Our division is nationally ranked as one of The Best Children’s Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. We have a long-standing ACGME-accredited fellowship program, and enjoy strong collaboration with Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric and Interventional Radiology, and Adult Gastroenterology. Our specialty clinics include Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Hepatobiliary, Feeding Aversion, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, and Liver Transplant. Shands Children’s Hospital at University of Florida currently has 192 beds including 38 NICU (level II and III), 24 PICU beds, plus a separate 22 bed pediatric cardiac ICU. We have our own free-standing pediatric Emergency Room and boast over 13 pediatric subspecialties in the department. UF Pediatric GI attracts patients from all over the state of Florida, southern Georgia, as well as other states in the southeast US and Caribbean.
