Description
The Abdominal Transplant Program at Dignity Health's St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, a premier transplant center located in Phoenix, Arizona, is in search of a Transplant Hepatologist.
We desire a candidate passionate about exceptional clinical care, team collaboration, and building our liver disease and transplantation program. While clinical care is paramount, we encourage faculty appointments, research, quality improvement, and patient advocacy.
Opportunity:
- Opportunity to grow and build a hepatology and transplant hepatology practice
- Collaborate with 2 other transplant hepatologists, 3 hepatology APPs, transplant surgeons, and other faculty members to expand the transplant program
- Contribute to the education of medical students, housestaff, and gastroenterology fellows, with opportunities to be involved in the administration of the GI fellowship program
- Full advanced endoscopy support with separate inpatient GI consultative service
- Inpatient hepatology consultation service with GI fellow and hospital-based APP support
- Robust IR service line with capacity for ablation, TACE, Y-90, and histotripsy
- Institutional support for clinical research
Requirements
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree
- Completed ACGME Residency training with current ABMS Board Certification in Gastroenterology
- Completed ACGME Fellowship training with current ABMS Board Certification in Hepatology (or eligible if new graduate)
- Must have or be eligible for Arizona State Medical Licensure
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
- A passion for providing excellent clinical care
- Willing to abide by and promote the values of CommonSpirit Health
