The Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition offers a comprehensive approach to weight management in children. Our initiatives and programs focus on prevention, advocacy, medical and surgical management of childhood obesity in addition to a strong research component. The Center is staffed with physicians, nurse practitioners, dietitians, behavioral psychologists, recreation specialists, athletic trainers, social workers, nursing and administrative staff. In addition to educational activities for medical students and residents, the Center supports a childhood obesity fellowship program.
Qualified candidates for this position will be BC/BE in General Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, or Pediatric Endocrinology with a strong interest and/or prior experience in clinical research, teaching, advocacy or project management related to childhood obesity. Responsibilities will include providing care in our bariatric and medical clinics, teaching and participating in research and quality improvement initiatives, depending on experience and interest.
