Virginia Mason is a nationally-recognized academic referral center for digestive and liver disorders. The Liver Center of Excellence at the Digestive Disease Institute supports multiple clinical trials in liver disease, research in HCV and NASH as well as a growing multidisciplinary Liver Tumor program. This position includes experienced support from hepatology fellows, physician assistants, nurses, hepatologists, therapeutic endoscopists, surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, endocrinologists and interventional radiologists.
The clinical aspect of this position involves comprehensive management of patients with acute and chronic liver disease, complications of end-stage liver disease, pre and 3 months postoperative transplant patients and patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. Programmatic aspects of the Liver Center of Excellence include education, outreach, outcomes assessment, quality improvement, innovation and clinical research.
