As the nation’s leader in pediatric leadership executive search, AMN Leadership Solutions (formerly MillicanSolutions) has partnered with Dr. Marlene Miller, Pediatrician-in-Chief for University Hospitals and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital (UH/RBC), to initiate a national search for a candidate to practice in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. The organizations are seeking a board certified/board eligible academic Pediatric Gastroenterologist with expertise in esophageal and gastrointestinal motility. This is a full time position including attending clinical responsibilities, participation in medical student, pediatric resident, and fellow education, pursuit of academic endeavors appropriate for promotion, and contributions to administrative responsibilities.
As part of the hospital and Department’s strategic plan for clinical and academic growth, tremendous opportunity in collaboration with Division Chief, Dr. Tom Sferra, to develop and lead new clinical and research programs dedicated to patients across the spectrum of symptoms and diseases associated with gastrointestinal motility.
The ideal candidate will be able to perform and interpret esophageal, anorectal, antroduodenal, and colonic motility studies.
The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology enjoys a strong foundation with 8 full-time Board Certified Pediatric Gastroenterologists, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 6 Registered Nurses, a Dietitian, Social Worker, and a Psychologist.
The Division has an ACGME accredited Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship Program.
Qualified MD/DO or MD/DO/PhD candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology, and possess excellent interpersonal, procedural, and clinical skills.
Eligibility for academic rank at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level.
Recognized as the top ranked children’s hospital in northern Ohio, UH/RBC is a 244-bed, Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and principal referral center for Ohio and the region.
