Marshfield Medical Center, the Marshfield Clinic Health System flagship hospital, cares for patients from throughout central, northern and western Wisconsin. Marshfield Medical Center offers primary, secondary, tertiary and Level II Trauma Center hospital services provided by Marshfield Clinic specialists. The facility hosts nearly 40 specialties including cancer, heart and orthopedics care, as well as a 24-bed Children's Hospital equipped with the latest technology and highly-trained hospitalists and nurses providing nearly 30 pediatric specialty services, including: child abuse-neglect, gastroenterology, pediatric intensive care, neonatology, and surgery.
The Assistant Manager – RN supports leadership with the management of staff and day-to-day operations for the assigned area of responsibility. This individual is accountable to deliver established goals, utilizes good judgment to assess and escalate situations when warranted and utilizes knowledge and skills in the area of expertise while maintaining expected quality standards. Must act as a leader by building constructive relationships and by supporting department leadership in developing, setting and executing department goals and the strategic plan in accordance with Marshfield Clinic Health System mission statement.
Work Shift: Mon-Fri; 7:00 am - 5:00 pm (Variable)

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; ASN or BSN preferred
Education in business or management preferred
Two years of nursing experience plus one year in a leadership role that demonstrated personal leadership effectiveness and team-building strategies required; Two years of supervisory or management experience preferred
Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the AHA
