Practice Details Include:
Pediatric Emergency Medicine experience or Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship training preferred
Stable 38-member department along with 17 Advanced Practice Providers seeing over 90,000 patients per year (roughly 15,000 pediatric patients per year)
Carle Foundation Hospital is a 433-bed regional hospital that is the area's only Level I Trauma Center and Level III Perinatal Services
Pediatric cases include minor acute illness and injuries
24-hour in-house coverage provided by Anesthesiology, 50-member Hospitalist Department, OB-GYN and Trauma Surgery
Pediatric subspecialty support includes: Critical Care, Neurology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Developmental-Behavioral, Genetics, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Pediatric Cardiology
Established Pediatric ICU includes: 18 private rooms, 8 isolation and protective environment beds, fully equipped minor procedure room
14,000 square foot expansion completed in 2014 added 17 additional acute beds, ultrasound room in dedicated ED Radiology suite with state-of-the art imaging equipment
