TRANSPLANT NURSE COORDINATOR
Travel throughout the Chicago metro area
Make the most of your knowledge of transplantation and living solid organ donation, and facilitate improved awareness, access, and improved outcomes through a campaign to eliminate transplant disparities for residents of the greater Chicagoland areas in relation to care for kidney and liver disease. Dedicated to the development of a deeper understanding of the historical boundaries and cultural concerns of the community, we strive to work with the neighbors we serve to overcome these obstacles through outreach, community-based participatory research, and patient and partner education.
In this role, you will travel with the kidney transplant team to community satellite clinics throughout the Chicagoland area to act as the on-site lead nurse in kidney transplant evaluation. Your duties will include outreach to dialysis units to educate patients, and professionals regarding kidney transplant options. This position is a mix of clinical care and outreach. This position also includes much travel throughout the different Chicago neighborhoods along with the Greater Chicagoland area.

Illinois RN license
Two years' practice as an RN
Experience in and knowledge of transplantation and living solid organ donation, preferably with previous transplant or organ-specific experience (e.g., hepatology, nephrology)
Certification (NNCC, ABTC or other ANCC) desired
