Job Summary:

Responsible for the direct total nursing care of the patients in the unit. Provides patients and physicians optimal service in a cost-effective manner. Assists the physician with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures related to the gastrointestinal tract and maintains basic nursing care activities and services in the Endoscopy Center

Qualifications:

Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing

  • Minimum of two (2) years in Endoscopy field, preferred.

  • Certified GI Nurse preferred

  • IV skills preferred.

  • Efficient in cardiac monitoring and algorithms.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current Florida Nursing License

  • Current ACLS Certification

  • Current BLS Certification

Language Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) in English.

  • Ability to write legibly (Clinical Areas).
