CHIEF, DIVISION OF GASTROENTEROLOGY AND HEPATOLOGY DEPARTMENT OF INTERNAL MEDICINETHE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGANThe University of Michigan’s Department of Internal Medicine invites applications for the position of Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Candidates must possess an M.D. or equivalent degree at a minimum. The division chief is responsible for the academic, clinical, educational and administrative initiatives of the division. Candidates should have established credentials as an administrator and have proven leadership expertise. Candidates should have demonstrated scholarly distinction appropriate for a tenure track appointment at the associate professor/professor level. This position reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine. The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
The division chief is paired with a division administrator that fully supports the administrative needs of the division. The division chief is expected to develop a strong and effective working relationship with the administrator to support the strategic direction of the division. The Department of Internal Medicine is looking for a dynamic and accomplished person to lead its Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
