Description Research Specialist Sr. JOB SUMMARY: Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or related fields although related master's degree or higher is preferred. At least two years of experience with mouse handling, demonstrating proficiency in the methodologies described above and basic skills with MS Word, Excel, and statistical programs like GraphPad Prism. Salary will be commensurate with experience. See specific duties below. Work Schedule: Normal daytime hours; Monday - Friday Department Summary: The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology supports the GI Clinical Research Enterprise (GICRE), which is a centralized clinical trials office in close proximity to the Vanderbilt Hospital and Clinic. Currently, the office manages and coordinates approximately 200 research projects, comprised of 70% industry-sponsored clinical trials and 30% investigator-initiated studies. The clinical trials enterprise employs experienced research nurses, clinical research coordinators, regulatory and quality assurance staff, and program managers.
