Northwell Health is seeking an experienced transplant hepatologist for its Lenox Hill Hospital campus. The ideal candidate will be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Subspecialty Board Certified/Eligible in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology.
Develop a hepatology service in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Participate in teaching medical students, residents, fellows and pharmacy students and residents
Participate in divisional/system-wide research activities
Contribute to the development of our expanding hepatology program
We are seeking an experienced hepatologist to develop an outpatient and in-patient hepatology service at Lenox Hill Hospital. This position will be a critical element of the liver sub-specialty service line across the Northwell Health System and would be the lead hepatologist in our Western region. In addition to activities at Lenox Hill Hospital, the candidate would be expected to participate in the system-wide liver transplant selection committee, liver biopsy conference, and all other liver sub-service line activities. The candidate will have the opportunity to attend on the liver transplant service at North Shore University Hospital.
At Northwell Health, the liver program provides specialized treatment and management for all aspects of liver diseases, including comprehensive evaluations for liver transplantations and post-surgical care. Our team of hepatologists, liver transplant surgeons, interventional radiologists, medical oncologists, and other specialists combines their expertise with cutting-edge therapies to ensure the integrated and seamless delivery of patient care. The liver program is a robust NIH funded and clinical research program.
