The Pulmonary Practice at ChristianaCare is looking for Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team. To assist the physicians and nurse practitioners in examining and treating patients. Accepts accountability for delivery of quality patient care. Coordinate care under the direction of providers along with the nurse practitioners and education coordinators.
As a LPN in this fast paced practice you will also be responsible to retrieves requests for prescription refills with follow up to pharmacies. Renews medication prescriptions by telephone and by completing forms. Follow up with insurance companies for pre-authorized medications.
Communicates patient needs/requests to appropriate staff member (MD, NP, Diabetes Educator). Communicates treatment changes to patients
Work Hours - Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm

Education and Experience Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
- Three to five years physician office or clinical experience preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
- Current Delaware LPN License & CPR Certification
