RN Cardio Pulmonary PT Evenings Position Summary

Nursing responsibilities focus on the preparation, administration of medication and recovery process for the out-patient population seen in Cardiopulmonary Services. Responsible for providing high-quality patient care to, and acting as a liaison with, patients and their representatives, physicians, and employees. Responsible for the efficient operation of the department and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs.

Provides patient education on side effects, risk factors and discharge instructions throughout the process. Communicates with the ordering physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including laboratory tests and symptoms, is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the patient�s condition and response to treatment. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities for the facility.

RN CARDIO PULMONARY PT EVENINGS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education:
1. Current State of South Carolina nursing license.
2. Must have South Carolina Registered Nurse license or multistate licensure from another Compact State within the proscribed guidelines of the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act.�

Experience:
1. Two or more year�s recent experience in critical care/cardiac care preferred.

Other Qualifications:
1. Current BLS certification.
2. Current ACLS certification.
