The role you’ll contribute:

The Patient Services Coordinator organizes the workflow of AdventHealth Zephyrhills Simpson Breast Health Center and reviews the various service areas to gain and improve efficiency. Assists with checking in patients and resolves frontline service issues. Provides general support to the department's Director, Manager, Radiologists and frontline staff.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Coordinate workflow for breast center, including continuous review of: patient wait times, patient satisfaction and communication with radiologists.                 
• Ensure accuracy of scheduled appointments and monitor proper outpatient preparation made for radiographic tests.              
• Monitor, provide feedback, develop and implement process improvement work flow per management approval.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Effective oral and written communication skills with customer service skills.
• High level of attention to detail and organization. 
• Must be able to use own judgment and initiative to resolve immediate and urgent problems and expedite patient care as needed.
• Must be able to interact and deal with challenging situations in dealing with patients and families in a tactful, calm and professional manner that invites cooperation and communication.
• Required to maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Must be able to type and perform order entry on HIS System, as well as retrieve information.
• High school diploma or equivalent upon hire
• Two years of radiology services office experience upon hire 
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or RQI upon hire
