St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates (SPHPMA) is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Surgeon to join an established, high-quality HPB Surgery Program at a community-based tertiary care hospital located in Albany, New York.
The selected candidate will join an established HPB surgeon and three other surgeons that are supported by a dedicated team of HPB-trained surgical PAs on the inpatient side and an NP in the office. As an employed surgeon of a large, physician-run multi-specialty group, your scope of practice will include broad-spectrum HPB surgery, complex surgical oncology, complex general surgery, elective, and acute care general surgery. Open, laparoscopic and robotics experience is required.
Call rotation is 1:5 for the group
Dedicated OR and Robotic block time allocated
Hospital has 5 Davinci Robotic Systems
Practice with established relationships with two large Oncology groups
Robust support from a five-person Interventional Radiology Group
Large Gastroenterology group with multiple advanced / interventional endoscopists
Participate in bi-monthly HPB tumor board
Member of the ACS NSQIP HPB Collaborative group
High volume practice with a strong referral base
The group is seeking for a motivated, hard-working individual who is focused on quality improvement and care optimization and can function as a member of a dynamic care team. Interested candidates must have excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
NYS licensure and DEA required
Board Certification or Board Eligible in General Surgery required
Fellowship in HPB or Surgical Oncology Required
Experience in open, laparoscopic and robotics is required
