Section of Digestive Diseases, Yale School of Medicine

The Section of Digestive Diseases at the Yale School of Medicine has an opening for a hepatologist with a focus in the area of NASH. This will primary be an outpatient clinical role with some inpatient and endoscopy responsibilities. Liver transplant training not required. A robust NASH program already exists with a multidisciplinary team of APPs, dietitians, a program coordinator, a research coordinator, and provides new faculty the opportunity to expand and develop over the next exciting phase of NASH therapies becoming available. The Section also provides a wide range of clinical and translational opportunities for research and career development. Applicants at all stages of career development may apply.

About Section of Digestive Diseases, Yale School of Medicine

Our program has a long history of excellence in clinical care, research and education. Since forming one of the nation's first sections of hepatology and then gastroenterology over 50 years ago, the Yale Digestive Diseases Section has had an enduring and continuing impact on fundamental and clinical investigation in digestive and liver disorders. We currently offer comprehensive clinical and research programs in a broad array of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. We also provide training to 18 fellows in our ACGME-accredited GI fellowship program (including clinical and NIH-sponsored research fellows) and advanced fellows in liver transplantation and interventional endoscopy. The Digestive Diseases Section has some of the most renowned physicians and scientists in the world, including recent presidents of the major U.S. gastroenterology and hepatology organizations (American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases). The Section's faculty is committed to advancing the science and practice of gastroenterology and hepatology by translating laboratory and clinical investigation into cutting-edge, state-of-the-art patient care.
