The Section Chief of GI position at the VA Memphis will encompass the breadth of clinical care, including inpatient consultation, outpatient clinic, and management of the GI Section, in addition to supervision of other Gastroenterologists and trainees assigned, Duties include but are not limited to: Provide direct patient care, and physician coverage in all clinical programs within the GI Section of Memphis VAMC, including GI clinics, inpatient and outpatient GI consults, and inpatient and outpatient GI endoscopies. Evening/night and weekend calls to be shared with other members of the GI Section. Proficiently perform both emergent and elective diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopies and upper GI endoscopies.
